Meagan and Rob tied the knot at the 1757 Golf Club recently. It was a beautiful fall day which tied in perfectly with Meagan’s theme for the day. Her parents gave her a gift of weathervane. As she comes from New England the maple syrup “favors” made a very appropriate gift. Delicious cupcakes were provided by Red Velvet Cupcakery – but as Meagan and Rob support rivaling football teams she had helmets from the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots. Flowers were from My Wedding Flowers and the DJ was from Soundwave Entertainment. James Harris assisted in providing some beautiful images on this happy occasion.
What a joy it is to keep in touch with past brides. Samantha and Sasha were married 7 years ago and they recently scheduled a family portrait session with Xander and their new baby son, Ashton. Congratulations to you both! I am delighted to continue to be part of your life and to capture special memories and moments, especially with the precious newborn portraits we captured together.
Congratulations to Chelsea and Steve who got married recently at Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church. Chelsea looked absolutely beautiful. Jeremy Dick and Brian Lusby, part of Anne Lord Photography, provided beautiful wedding photography for their special day. The reception was at the Fort Myer Officers’ Club.
Emily & Brandon were married at Walker’s Overlook in Maryland recently. My first time shooting there – it’s gorgeous and I’d love to go there again – hopefully when the weather is not so cold. Here are some images from their day. In spite of the cold windy weather a great time was had by all. Emily and Brandon had a really unusual groom’s cake. I believe they were driving and stumbled upon a family of baby possum whose mother had been run over. They rescued the possum and nursed them until they could fend for themselves. Hence the theme for the groom’s cake. What a lovely story! Emily gave each of her bridesmaids a special gift of a bracelet which included their personal birthstone. This is an image of Emily’s – a ruby for the month of July!
